The Karrat Foundation is contemplating obtaining a license for a proprietary solution for on-chain governance, proposals and voting called Winvote™. Winvote was developed by AMGI Studios, as a response to a lack of market solutions that provide an experience in line with Karrat Foundation’s expectations and that also allowed for customization without significant financial and time cost. It is proposed by the Karrat Foundation that Winvote will replace Tally. Winvote has a number of benefits over Tally, Including:
- Customization
- The ability to set thresholds for different type of proposals
- A suitable user experience with walkthrough on delegation, voting and proposal processes.
- Mitigation of source code bugs in tally that impact the ability to trust the result of the vote
- Removal of constraints on being able to vote on proposal that came before you were able to delegate tokens.
We believe Winvote has a bright future not only for the Karrat Foundation but for any project, company or foundation looking to incorporate or wanting a more robust solution for existing on-chain governance. Karrat Foundation and Winvote are making blockchain governance accessible, further adding to the mission of the Karat Foundation in developing solutions in support of the industry.
